I made a somewhat ambiguous remark once and The one where I’m Irish shirt I honestly thought he was going to have a heart attack at the thought he was being confused with the travelers. I won’t repeat what he said (and he is dead now, lived to be 102) but it would have been slanderous if there wasn’t a grain of truth. Having said that, the families I know are grand and I would trust them with my life. Others I wouldn’t trust as far as I can see them but that goes for others as well. They have a bad reputation in general but how true that is for the majority I couldn’t say though I do know that in many cases the girls are forced to marry young, often have no say in the matter and frequently end up being badly treated with huge families.
